The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office is partnering with Toys for Tots for the holiday season. This 76-year national program, run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, helps spread joy to children in our county.

The program provides year-round comfort to children in need across the country through the gift of a new toy. The impact of these toys and books offers children in need recognition, confidence, and a memory for a lifetime.

Donation boxes will be at all four El Paso County DMVs as well as in our Recording Department. We invite citizens to donate unwrapped toys during business hours. These toys will then be given to children in need for Christmas. The boxes will be at the locations, receiving donations, until Wednesday, December 18. Citizens can also donate online at toysfortots.org.

“I invite you to join us in spreading the season’s joy by donating a new, unwrapped toy for a child in our community,” said Clerk and Recorder Steve Schleiker. “Together, we can make a difference and ensure every child experiences the wonder of Christmas. Let’s unite as a community and fill those boxes with love, hope, and holiday spirit!”

Since 1947, Toys for Tots has evolved, bringing the hope and magic of Christmas to over 291 million children in need. The need isn’t just during Christmas though. The Toys for Tots Program also provides support year-round to families facing struggles, helping millions of children in need beyond the holidays.
