Volunteer Program for the Clerk and Recorder's Office

Are you interested in learning about local government and how we serve the community of El Paso County? The Volunteer Program of the Clerk and Recorder’s Office will give you an insider’s view.

Volunteer positions are available and will offer a unique perspective into county government. Our staff members work alongside volunteers, providing their expertise and knowledge, and volunteers will enjoy these professional relationships. As a volunteer, you will learn firsthand about the operations of the office and observe our customer service in action. The experience you gain will prove beneficial on a personal level, as well as for career development.

Any citizen 18 years or older may apply for a volunteer position with the Clerk and Recorder’s Office. High school seniors also are eligible for the program. Volunteer positions are not compensated.

The time commitment is a consistent weekly schedule developed by the department manager and volunteer that is mutually satisfactory. Volunteers are assigned to the main office at Citizens Service Center, 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road.

The skills, time and work you contribute as a volunteer will be a real value to the Clerk and Recorder’s Office. We look forward to developing a partnership with our volunteers and welcoming them into our office.
