For the convenience of our customers, all El Paso County Clerk and Recorder offices accept major credit cards and debit cards for payment. We also accept cash and personal checks. When writing a check, please make it out to “El Paso County Clerk and Recorder.”
A Portal Administration Fee is assessed on credit and debit card transactions, per state statute C.R.S. 29-11.5-103. This fee is non-refundable and is not retained by El Paso County.
There is no Portal Administration Fee assessed on transactions totaling less than $10.00.
Electronic checks in any amount are accepted for a $1.00 Portal Administration Fee.
There is no Portal Administration Fee assessed on cash or traditional check transactions.
A $41.00 returned check fee will be assessed per state statute C.R.S. 24-35-114.
