Amy
Amy joined the El Paso County Elections Department as an elections specialist in 2021, after serving five years as an election judge. During elections, her primary responsibilities include overseeing signature verification and ballot discrepancy cure processes. Amy is a Certified Colorado Election Official who was awarded the Clerk and Recorder’s Employee of the Month in December of 2021. She is currently pursuing her CERA certification.
Ayrica
Ayrica joined the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office in October 2015 as a recording technician in the Recording Department, while also being cross trained in the Motor Vehicle Department. She transitioned to her current role as an elections specialist in August of 2021 and became a Certified Colorado Election Official not long after. Her primary responsibility during each election is overseeing the ballot packet sorting system operations. Ayrica was named the Clerk and Recorder’s Employee of the Quarter in 2016 and Employee of the Month in November 2021. She is currently pursuing her CERA certification.
Chelsea
Chelsea is a Certified Colorado Election Official who has worked with El Paso County as an elections specialist since August of 2021. After assisting with ballot intake throughout the 2021 Coordinated Election, Chelsea transitioned to a role that allows her to hire, schedule, and train election judges, as well as oversee the county-wide voter service and polling centers. She is currently pursuing her CERA certification.
Dianna
Dianna is a Certified Colorado Election Official who has worked with El Paso County as an elections specialist since April of 2022. As a Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) liaison, Dianna is committed to ensuring that every military and/or overseas voter is given the opportunity to cast their vote – despite the distance. She is currently pursuing her CERA certification.
Laurie
Laurie began working as an election judge in 2008 and oversaw early voting sites and healthcare facilities as a full-time staff member from 2009-2013. From 2013-2022, she was an election judge who focused on data entry and assisted in several areas of the election process; however, in August of 2022, Laurie returned as a full-time elections specialist who now assists with the duplication, adjudication, and tabulation process. She is a Certified Colorado Election Official who is currently pursuing her CERA certification.
Matt
Matt joined the El Paso County Elections Department in August 2019, after spending 8+ years as an intelligence analyst in the United States Army. He is a Certified Colorado Election Official and serves the county as an elections specialist who oversees the duplication, adjudication, and tabulation of cast ballots in each election. He was named the Clerk and Recorder’s Employee of the Month in November 2019 and again in July 2022. Matt will complete his CERA certification in August of 2023.
Matthew
Matthew is a Certified Colorado Election Official who has worked with El Paso County as an elections specialist since May of 2023. He has previous work experience with safeguarding confidential information and volunteer experience working with Title 1 election law. During elections, his primary responsibility will be assisting with ballot intake.
Sam
Sam began working as a temporary election judge during the 2018 General Election and joined El Paso County as a full-time elections specialist in May of 2023. As a temporary election judge, Sam worked as a healthcare facilities supervisor, registration judge, and site coordinator. Going forward, he will hire, train, and schedule temporary election judges for all voter service and polling centers within the county. Sam is a Certified Colorado Elections Official.
