[El Paso County, Colo. – February 7, 2025] Couples preparing for their wedding are invited to receive their marriage or civil union license from the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office on the most romantic day of the year – Valentine’s Day!
The Recording Department, located at 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road, is hosting an event – Vows and Valentines – on Friday, February 14, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to celebrate couples receiving their marriage or civil union license and preparing for their upcoming wedding ceremony. The event will include photo opportunities and treats for couples and their family and friends.
All couples are required to fill out the online marriage application before coming to the office to receive their license. The application fee is $30 and each certified copy costs $1.25. Each person must also bring a valid form of identification, including a driver’s license, passport or birth certificate. It’s important to remember the ceremony date must be within 35 days of receiving the license.
