Important Dates
Below are important dates for the 2026 General Election on November 3:
September 19 – The last day for the Elections Department to send ballots to military and overseas voters.
October 5 – Ballots are mailed to active, registered voters.
October 19 – Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPCs) open for citizens who want to vote in person.
October 26 – The last day citizens may register to vote or update their voter record at GoVoteColorado.gov and have a ballot mailed to them.
October 27 – Citizens must register to vote or update their voter record and receive their ballot at a Voter Service and Polling Center. They may do both through Election Day.
October 27 – Recommended last day to return your ballot by mail. Postmarks do not count. You can still cast your ballot at a 24/7 secure drop-off box or at a VSPC.
November 3 – Election Day! Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. Postmarks do not count.
November 12 – Last day for ballots cast by military and overseas electors to be received by the Elections Department in order to be counted.
November 12 – Last day for an elector to cure a signature discrepancy or missing signature, or to provide missing ID for a mail or provisional ballot to be counted. All ballots not cured are turned over to the District Attorney’s Office to investigate voter fraud.
November 13 – The Elections Department and bipartisan judges must finish tabulating all in-person and accepted mail ballots cast by voters registered in the county.
November 24 – Last day to conduct a Risk Limiting Audit of the 2026 General Election.
November 25 – Last day to complete the canvass and submit official results of the 2026 General Election.
Important Resources
Ballot Box & VSPC Locations (available soon) – Voters must return their ballot by mail, to a ballot drop-off box, or at a Voter Service and Polling Center by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3.
BallotTrax – This tracking system sends you notifications when your ballot is sent to you, received by our Elections Department, and processed for counting.

Candidate Information – TRACER is a state platform to search candidates. It includes the candidates website, contact information, campaign finances, and other important information to help voters learn more about candidates.
Records & Results – The official records, documents, and results for the 2026 General Election. Results will not be available until after polls close at 7 p.m. on Election Day and the last voter has voted.
Sample Ballot (available soon) – This sample ballot includes all the local and state races and measures. However, depending on your precinct, you will likely only have a handful of these races on your ballot.
