Clerk and Recorder News Release

[El Paso County, Colo. – June 17, 2024] More Voter Service & Polling Centers (VSPC) for the upcoming June 25, 2024 Election open today, Monday, June 17. All VSPCs will be open throughout the week 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 22, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The six VSPC locations currently open are:

  • Citizens Service Center (1675 W Garden of the Gods Rd, Colo Springs, CO 80907)
  • Swink Hall at the El Paso County Fair and Event Center (366 10th Street, Calhan, CO 80808)
  • Downtown/Centennial Hall (200 S Cascade Ave, Colo Springs, CO 80903)
  • Fort Carson EPC Branch (6351 Wetzel Ave, Bldg. 1525, Ft Carson, CO 80913)
  • North EPC Branch (8830 N Union Blvd, Colo Springs, CO 80920)
  • Southeast EPC Branch (5650 Industrial Pl, Colo Springs, CO 80916)

The main purposes of a Voter Center are to register new voters, update voter registrations, and issue ballots to voters who did not receive one in the mail. VSPCs also offer ADA ballot marking devices for people with disabilities. If an individual prefers to vote in person, they may come to a Voter Center. There they will surrender the ballot they received in the mail and be issued a paper ballot to vote and turn in. All ballots are processed and tabulated in the same method at our main office. A voter also can drop off their completed mail ballot in person at a VSPC.

On June 24, three more VSPCs will open, bringing the total to nine. All locations will be open through Election Day, June 25. All VSPCs will be open Monday, June 24, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Election Day, Tuesday, June 25, from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

El Paso County VSPCs are picked by using a geographic information system (GIS) and strategically placed throughout the county. Over 98 percent of residents live within 10 or 15 minutes from a VSPC or secure 24/7 ballot drop-off box.
