The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will open 18 more Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPC), on Friday, November 1. These will also be open Saturday, November 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for voters who work during the week. Fourteen more VSPCs will open Monday, November 4, as part of the last phase, bringing the total number of VSPCs to 38. All sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 4 and 5.

A Voter Center can register new voters, update voter registrations, and issue replacement ballots. Voter Centers also offer ADA ballot marking machines for those with disabilities. If an individual prefers to vote in person, they may come to a VSPC and receive a paper ballot. They can also drop their mail ballot off in person at a VSPC. All ballots, whether mail ballot or in person, are processed in the same manner.

Voters can return their mail ballot to one of 41 secure 24/7 ballot drop-off boxes. Voter Centers provide these services:

  • Update their voter registration
  • Request a replacement ballot
  • Use an ADA accessible ballot marking device
  • Vote in person on a paper mail ballot
  • Drop off their voted ballot

El Paso County VSPCs are placed throughout the county using a geographic information system (GIS). Over 98 percent of voters live within 15 minutes from a drop box or VSPC. Voters can return their ballot via USPS with 0.73 cents postage. The last day to return your ballot via USPS is October 28. All ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day as postmarks do not count.

The Clerk’s Office expects turnout for the General Election to be high at 90%. Voters are asked to cast their mail ballot early and return it to one of the 41 secure 24/7 ballot boxes. Locations and maps can be found at www.epcvotes.com. Early ballot returns will help the Election staff process Election Night Results in a timely manner.

Voters who have questions or concerns can contact the Clerk’s Elections staff members at 719-575-VOTE (8683).
