All El Paso County Clerk and Recorder offices accept major credit cards and debit cards for payment. We also accept cash and checks. When writing a check, please make it out to “El Paso County Clerk and Recorder.”
A Portal Administration Fee is assessed on credit and debit card transactions, per state statute C.R.S. 29-11.5-103. This fee can’t be refunded and is not retained by El Paso County.
There is no Portal Administration Fee assessed on payments less than $10.00.
Electronic checks in any amount will incur a $1.00 Portal Administration Fee.
There is no Portal Administration Fee assessed on cash or paper checks.
A $41.00 returned check fee will be assessed per state statute C.R.S. 24-35-114.
